Welcome to Adhara, Inc. an enchanting place to find and acquire unique adornments, whimsies & amazements for body, soul, home,& garden, ~ ADHARA: one of the brightest stars in the evening sky in the constellation Canis Major. It is best viewed with ultra violet light. We chose this name because of our love of wonderments and of course our canine friends.
There are many levels to the relationship between artist/patron. The patron of course, supports the artists both financially and spiritually- allowing the pursuit of creativity. A piece is not only the vision of the artists but is also a reflection of the patron.
We are so honored that our work is appreciated as well as encouraged and supported by clients- many who have become friends. This is only natural as we have shared visions, interests, perception, etc. The materials used in Carol's jewelry are various metals: brass, copper and/or silver; glass, (often home kilned dichroic), semi precious stones, natural and repurposed/ found objects. Her work often takes many themes and styles, from fantasy, romantic, modern, satirical, art deco, techno-industrial, steampunk, Boho , et al. Each piece is - as much as possible- hand crafted and unique. Jerry's garden art is hand cast and painted concrete so it is very durable and even suitable for outdoors. The "treasures" are from over 40 years of "expeditions". We hope you enjoy the offerings on the following pages as much as we do in creating and collecting them.
