This whimsical frog was hand cast and copper plated. He  jumps from a copper chain accented w/glass beads and held with a hand-forged clasp down to the depths of a tiny dichroic glass pond.  If you are not familiar with Dichroic you are in for a delightful treat.  It reflects light at different angles to radiate color changes...a bit like, but much more dramatic than opal.  It is a long process of stacking, cutting, firing many times to get the shimmering results.  Unfortunately, photography does not capture the liquid brilliance of this magic material. Like all pieces I "test wear" to access comfort, durability and public reaction.  This guy has been very well received.  The chain is approx. 23", the frog 3" and beneath bead & dichroic jewel adds 2 ".
